For eight years viewers tuned in to ABC's Full House to watch the Tanner family, plus friends, Jesse and Joey, run amuck in various goofy adventures.
This family drama/comedy covered everything from valuable life lessons about growing up to light-hearted situations regarding the everyday joys of family. Three men, Danny, Jesse and Joey, ran the household, which consisted of four other characters. Throughout the years we watched these three goofballs through thick and thin, from marriage to break ups, from stardom to rock bottom. It’s been over twenty years since the first episode aired. Whatever happened to the men of Full House? Danny Tanner, played by Bob SagetAs the cleaning obsessive widowed father of DJ, Stephanie and Michelle, Danny Tanner was always good for a few awkward moments and uncomfortable laughs. Since leaving the show, Bob Saget has continued with comedy. Saget is a producer, writer, director and comedian of various segments and has had small comedic roles in movies such as Dumb and Dumber, Half Baked and Madagascar. Saget, who was also the host of America’s Funniest Home Videos until 1997, continued his hosting streak with the World Magic Awards, American’s Funniest Pets and 1 Vs 100. Recently, from 2005-2008, he played Ted Mosby on How I Met Your Mother. Saget has three daughters with ex-wife Sherri Kramer, whom he divorced in 1997. A single father with three daughters? Hmm… how familiar. Jesse Katsopolis, played by John StamosJesse Katsopolis was a guitar-playing, motorcycle-riding rebel turned loyal husband and doting father in Full House. In reality, John Stamos’ life is the complete opposite. In 1998 Stamos married model/actress Rebecca Romajn and concentrated on television movies such as Sealed with a Kiss and Fortunate Son, and musicals including Cabaret, Nine and How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying. In 2005 he divorced his wife and reverted back to his single guy ways, playing womanizer Jake in Jake in Progress and sexy doctor Tony Gates in ER. So what does the future hold for our former Full House bad boy? Stamos continues his stint with ER and so far, remains single and dating. Joey Gladstone, played by Dave CoulierFunny man Joey and his real-life counterpart, Dave Coulier, are much the same. Like Joey, Coulier is a stand-up comedian and has done various voice overs for television specials and animated programs. Since leaving Full House he has had roles in Lois and Clark, Pinky and the Brain and Ghostbusters. He participated in MTV’s reality show, The Surreal Life in 2004 and remains a member of the Celebrity All Star Hockey Team. He divorced his wife during Full House and has not remarried. All three men went in different directions - comedic host to dramatic doctor to celebrity hockey star. However, they will always be remembered for their stint on Full House and for their unconventional, yet admirable approach to raising three young girls.
