Where are they Now: The Females of Full HouseThe Olson Twins, Lori Loughlin, Candace Cameron Bure and MoreFull House was one of the longest running and most popular family dramas in history.
The show followed three young girls, their widowed father and their father’s two best friends through several years. From first time crushes, to shop lifting scares to crash diets, DJ, Stephanie and Michelle Tanner went through a lot. It’s been over twenty years since the first episode aired, and although most people might know what became of the fashionista Olsen twins, whatever happened to the other Full House women? Are they still acting or did they retire their comedic one-liners to concentrate on raising their own full houses. Read on to find out. DJ Tanner, played by Candace Cameron Bure:After the show finished, Candace Cameron, as she was known when she played DJ Tanner, the eldest of the three Tanner daughters, married NHL hockey player, Valeri Bure in 1996. The couple concentrated on raising their own full house with three children, Natasha, Lev and Maskim. As well as starting and raising a family, Cameron Bure performed in a few television movies including Visitors of the Night, Kidz in the Wood and Sharon’s Secret, and played spot roles in television shows, Twice in A Lifetime, That’s so Raven and Cybil. She now spends her time being super Mom and travelling with her husband’s hockey team. Stephanie Tanner, played by Jodi Sweetin.Middle child, Stephanie Tanner, played by Jodi Sweetin, was always getting herself into trouble and making viewers laugh along the way. For Sweetin, however, the real life trouble hasn’t been all that funny. After a few guest spots in television series’ Party of Five and Brotherly Love during the 1990’s, Sweetin married her first husband, Shaun Holguin. She became addicted to meth in 2000, which landed her a divorce, and a stint in rehab. She spent the start of the new millennium away from the camera and the drugs and eventually married again, to Cody Herpin in 2007. In April, Sweetin gave birth to her first child, a little girl name Zoie. She remains friends with her castmates and even trades parenting tips with her on-screen sister, Candace Cameron Bure. Michelle Tanner, played by Mary-Kate and Ashley OlsenThe Olsen twins began their multi-million dollar acting careers at age nine months with the role of Michelle Tanner. After Full House, the twins remained a duo sensation releasing The Adventures of Mary Kate and Ashley series, the You’re Invited series and various movies such as It Takes Two, Passport to Paris and New York Minute. Aside from acting, the girls started their own clothing and makeup line and magazine and are the CEO’s of their company Dualstar. After suffering an eating disorder in 2004, Mary-Kate made her individual mark on camera by returning to television with a role on Weeds in 2007. Both girls are now known for their quirky fashion, numerous celebrity hook-ups and 100-million dollar net worth. Rebecca Donaldson, played by Lori LoughlinAs Jesse’s wife and Danny’s co-host, Rebecca Donaldson was the perfect addition to the Full House family. Jesse and Becky went on to have two little boys of their own, who also lived in the Tanner residence. After Full House, Loughlin continued work in television with full time roles on Hudson Street in the 1990’s and Summerland and In Case of Emergency in the 2000’s. She also appeared on popular 90’s series Seinfeld, SpinCity and the Drew Carey Show. Loughlin married clothing designer, Mossimo Giannulli in 1997 and has two daughters with him, Isabella Rose and Olivia Jade. She is currently at home raising her daughters and on the set working on the new 90210 series. All four female cast members of Full House went in different directions after leaving the show and achieved individual successes, but these strong female cast members will most likely be best remembered for their work on this long running and highly entertaining family drama.
